Healthy Breast Program

One in nine Canadian women will be diagnosed with breast cancer at some point in their lives and the numbers have tripled in the last 50 years. Hooper's is pleased to present a 6 week series that explores the anatomy and physiology of breast health, hormonal links to breast disease, environmental links to breast cancer, diet and nutritional supplements for breast health, herbal formulas and techniques for detoxification, immune enhancement and lymphatic drainage, psychological and spiritual links to breast cancer. All women and men are welcome.
Background: The Healthy Breast Program was developed by Sat Dharam Kaur, N.D. to provide a naturopathic protocol for preventing and treating breast cancer to be used in combination with allopathic diagnostic and treatment options. The program is designed to educate and provide support to women interested in maintaining or improving the health of their breasts.
Presenter: April Kabe, B.Sc, CNP (Certified Nutritionist). April has completed The Healthy Breast Teacher Training Program at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. She has provided support to women with breast cancer as well as educating women on healthy lifestyle and risk factors to decrease the chance of the disease. The goal is to provide “Healthy Breast Program” to women to gain knowledge and strategy to decrease the chances of having breast cancer. April also provides ongoing educational seminars on various health topics at Hoopers Pharmacy and also provides individual consultations.
